I. Definition of Seamless Steel Pipe

A seamless steel pipe is a type of steel pipe manufactured from a solid round steel billet through a series of processes, including heating, piercing, rolling, and sizing. Because the pipe body is formed as a continuous structure without any welded joints, it is known as a seamless steel pipe.

Unlike welded steel pipes, which are produced by forming and welding steel plates or coils, seamless steel pipes are manufactured directly through hot-working or cold-working processes. This production method provides a uniform microstructure and superior mechanical properties, enabling the pipe to withstand higher pressures, elevated temperatures, and demanding service conditions.
